Oversight of thermostabilized pouched food production at the Space Food Research Facility in College Station, TX, and participation in provisioning activities related to the ISS flight food system, including preparation of facility, food preparation, flight packaging, quality assurance testing, and container stowage.
Participating in product development activities, sensory evaluation, literature research, preparation and review of technical reports, presentations, and charts, as assigned.
Participation in outreach events, tours, and other activities scheduled by the Public Affairs and Education Offices, or requested by the NASA customer.
BS degree in Food Science or a related discipline, minimum 5 years' previous experience in a commercial food production setting. Previous demonstrated experience with thermostabilized processing of food products.
Previous experience with quality assurance and product development.
Better Process Control School certification. Proficiency with MicroSoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Good oral and excellent written communication skills.
